Of course! Your mate MUST be your beatfriend. Next to The Holy One, the person should be the closet person to you, they mirror your soul. Mark and I were and still are each other’s bestfriend. My husband’s fear was being hurt…not losing my friendship.

I won’t be marrying anyone ’cause us dogs don’t do marriage. Mum’s not married to Uncle Hugh but they’ve been together for years and years. Mum says she’s married to him in her head and they are definitely best friends. They don’t really see anyone else that much so I guess they have to be fairly friendly don’t you think?

I will totally be marrying my best friend. We’ve known each other for over two years. And in so many ways, he has already become my best friend. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Though . . . sometimes it’s not such a blessing in disguise that we know each other so well. ;o)

I’m not married, but I think the man you marry should be one of your closest friends, if not the best one (he should definitely be your bets male friend) because if you intend to spend the rest of your life with him, you need to get on well.

No, my best friend is a farmer in central Victoria and a marriage would be both unpleasant and a social embarrassment. That is not to say I don’t love my wife.

I could have married my best friend, but I missed my chance (even though I had more than one). I regret it sometimes. But if I would have married him today I'd probably be a completely different person, one that I don't think I would like at all.

The man I did marry has become my best friend anyway. I couldn't really ask for more. <3

I think it is worth the effort to make the transition and marry your best friend. Passion can be intense but it will burn out eventually and you'll want a friend!

I did marry my best friend! It is so much more convenient!

Telling your best friend how you really feel about him/her is tricky enough. You'd jeapordize the friendship if your friend doesn't feel the same way about you.

I'd definitely freak out if my best friend were to confess his feelings for me. It'll make the relationship weird after that.

My answer is: It is a Catch 22.

Don't tell him and forever hold your peace... get heartbroken when he marries someone else.

Tell him and lose him anyway when he starts freaking out.

And for the rare occasion (yes, I am pessimistic when it comes to relationships) that everything works together... well, hey! Good for you.

uhh.. i’m not yet still in a marrying age but.. anyway, i just wanna relate. i’m a teen after all.

before i had this guy best friend who had always been my shadow. i learned that he liked me from our other close friends, and i quite sensed it too. but i think it’s a good thing he hesitated to tell me, ’cause he’ll definitely ruin our friendship.

When I married my husband, I didn’t consider him as a best friend. I was in love and in lust with him. And we had a lot in common, or so we thought. Actually, we eventually realized that it was just our love for booze that bound us. Through the years, we discovered we were not so alike after all. In fact, it was a rude awakening to realize how utterly different we were. I’m a night owl; he’s an early morning waker upper. I love books; he’d rather wait for the movie version. He’s practical and a neat-freak; I’m “creative” in organizing and re-organizing my environment – yes, that means I’m a slob. But the funny thing is that the more we differ, the more we get closer. And now, after all those discoveries, he has become my best friend.

It doesn’t matter if you marry your best friend or not. Marry someone you love. Someone whose heart is good. And let God work out the differences for you.
