Busy Hands Way Back Then…

The BUSY HANDS album in my Facebook account features activities of “busy-ness” of Meimei and EJ.  But here I would like to write how the concept of BUSY HANDS started and when it started. I grew up with 4 brothers and 1 sister, so yeah, we are a large family  In most of our growing years we’ve had helpers doing the house works but our parents, especially our dad, always wanted us to work with them.  He didn’t want us to be spoiled brats who just litter our stuff around the house and let the house maids clean them.  We were tasked to fix our rooms, wipe the windows, feed the dogs (and even clean their poopie!), wash our clothes and all the other house chores especially when the helpers took their day off on a Sunday.  That way, even without helpers, life was normal and we didn’t have to … Continue reading

BUSY HANDS

Busy Hands

I have this album in Facebook that I entitled BUSY HANDS and currently I’m on my 3rd album,  containing about 60 photos in each.  I don’t want the viewers to wait for a long time while the pictures are loading that’s why I create a new one when I see 60 photos. I entitled the album BUSY HANDS mainly because I want to TRAIN my children in different areas of their lives – spiritually, financially, emotionally, mentally, psychologically, physically, artistically (oh how I love arts!) and all the other -ally’s that are there… where does COOKING come in? Physically I guess, haha.  But as a mother, I believe it is my GOD-given responsibility to raise persons who are responsible, making a difference wherever they are, who will be a blessings to people around them and honor the name of their Maker.  And your guess is right, we start training them … Continue reading

LOVE LETTERS TO E.J.

My husband and I agreed that from time to time, we will write letters to our children so that someday, they have something to guide and encourage them when they need it. We can’t and we won’t be with them all the time, but with these letters, it’s as if we’re beside them. From these letters they’ll know how much we love them, what we value the most, what we pray for, what our principles are, who we are and what we, as parents, hope to impart to them that they too can impart to their children. We will categorize these types of blogs as LOVE LETTERS TO E.J. because truly, all our letters will be written because we love them. All our children have the initial E.J.
