Today is the birthday of my best friend and my children’s dad
Hmmm… guess you know who I’m talking about! Right! It’s my luvyduvs birthday! A.K.A. Papa! I had a hard time deciding what to give him until an AHA moment came when EJ, my first born, got his clay out 2 days ago. Right there and then I asked him to do something for papa for his birthday. I didn’t have a concrete idea yet what the birthday project will be, all I know was we had to make something for daddy-yo! So this afternoon, while Meimei was sound asleep, EJ and I, with yaya’s help, made our birthday project for papa. We didn’t complete the project until Meimei got up and allowed us to have her hand traced – this was the most difficult part of the project I tell you! But it was very much worth the effort

Birthday Project for Papa
Materials:
1. Border (green) – from our Christmas decoration last Dec. 2008
2. Board – back of our 2008 calendar
3. Decors:
a. WE LOVE PAPA (100% done by EJ), STAR, TURTLE, HAND, BALL, MAN – made from clay dough
b. Wordings – all handwritten and conceptualized by EJ
c. Cut-outs (hearts, dogs, etc) – from old gift wraps
You wonder how Meimei contributed to this project? Well, the hand is hers, which as I have mentioned, took the longest time to do! She would remove her hand, wave and just move around. Thankfully we devised something that allowed us to have that very significant hand traced! But not only that, if you look at the man closely, which is supposed to be “PAPA”, he has his upper lip intact but only HALF of his lower lip is in place. Thanks to Meimei’s
She got it and we didn’t know where to find it, so there it is. Papa with half his lower lip missing!
SO there it is – HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA
We Truly LOVE you!!! mmmwah!

I agree — anybody who marries his/her bestfriend is such a blessing!
I still wonder if I married one. Haha!
I’m sure Joey will treasure your labor of love. Ganda!
