Here are the 5 W’s and 1 H of MOTHERHOOD… Feel free to answer any of the questions and share your heart out! If you’re not a mom yet, you may add your own question – a mother might just give you the answer you’ve been needing to hear!
Q1. When does a mother become a mother? At the time of conception or at the time you held your baby in your arms?
Q2. What does it mean to be a mother? Does that mean sacrificing your old life or delighting in a new life?

I’d like to personally answer Q2. What does it mean to be a mother? Does that mean sacrificing your old life or delighting in a new life?
A: It’s both… I believe that there are certain things in our OLD LIFE that we have to sacrifice because as mothers, we can’t do them anymore. Prior to having a baby, my husband and I enjoyed playing badminton 3x/week and coming home around 1am (because of badminton) on a Friday night and waking up the next day at 6am to play badminton again. BUT since I became a mother last 2005, I have never done that… I still had the chance of playing badminton, but not anymore in that level. It’s also a DELIGHTING IN A NEW LIFE because there are a lot of things in motherhood that I enjoy much more than playing badminton. One of which is KISSING AND HUGGING my kids ALL THE TIME, ANYTIME and ANYWHERE I WANT! When you only play with other people’s kids, you just give them a short hug for a certain time and some people won’t even allow you to kiss their kids. BUT if those kids are your own, it’s like drinking BOTTOMLESS Iced Tea! DRINK ALL YOU CAN… HUG ALL YOU CAN and KISS ALL YOU CAN! Those delights I would exchange for ANY badminton nights – anytime! Just thinking about hugging and kissing them makes me excited to wake up tomorrow… OH, why wait for tomorrow when I can do it NOW @ 2:39am! ;D CAUSE I’M THEIR MOTHER!
